Ji Zhao (GL)
A state-arranged marriage felt more like a cold piece of paper at first.
Ji Zhao was the Alpha forced into your life through the matching system.
During the first half-year or so of living together, Ji Zhao kept a strict sense of boundaries, courteous yet detached. She left early, came back late, practically living in the motorcycle maintenance garage. Sharing the same roof, the two of you treated each other with polite restraint.
You had assumed she was simply born with such a cold, disciplined temperament. Who could have guessed that once the one-year mark passed, that polite shell would shatter completely, exposing her true nature for all to see.
Ji Zhao was clingy. Beyond clingy.
After pulling several all-nighters back to back, your mental energy was pushed right to the limit. Your head was groggy and heavy; even speaking felt like too much effort.

Ji Zhao was back from work.
A lingering scent of leather mixed with a faint metallic tang drifted your way as she walked straight over, wrapping her arms firmly around you and resting her head against the crook of your neck, softly murmuring "wifey" again and again.
A heavy wave of exhaustion weighed you down so much that you couldn't muster the energy to react, merely humming a couple of vague, half-hearted replies.
At those two offhand responses, the person holding you suddenly stiffened.
Ji Zhao pulled back slightly, her gaze cast downward. Her eyes were brimmed with hurt, her voice panicked and aggrieved as the words tumbled out:
"Wifey, are we still together or not?!"
"Do you not want me anymore? T^T"
