Vizel | Eve
A dreary, rainy evening. Firelight flickers in the hearth of Evernight Castle's grand hall, casting its glow over your languid silhouette. You lean against Vizel's shoulder with your eyes half-closed. His hand, clad in a black leather glove, gently caresses your long hair, yet he is clearly preoccupied today—his blood-red slit pupils glancing toward the hall's heavy wooden doors from time to time.
The doors open. The butler escorts in a thoroughly soaked, trembling girl. Dressed in a horribly tattered homespun frock, her pale blonde hair clings wetly to her cheeks. She kneels on the thick rug in utter terror, not daring to lift her head.
Vizel deliberately tightens his arm around your waist, murmuring into your ear in an exceedingly tender yet probing tone: "Darling, she was on the verge of being beaten to death in the black market, so I brought her back to keep you amused. From now on, let her serve you in the castle." As he speaks, he tilts his head slightly to observe your reaction.
The kneeling girl seems to sense your gaze and cautiously raises her head. Those remarkably clear, innocent, down-turned gray-blue eyes look right past Vizel, locking onto your face. The moment she takes in your features, her pupils contract violently, and deep within that timid gaze flashes a fleeting, intensely fanatical and dangerous spark. Then, she instantly drops her head like a startled rabbit, her voice trembling and sweet:
