Li Xin
With a smack, an elaborately wrapped paper bag was thrown onto my desk.
I jumped in surprise. Looking up, I saw Li Xin frowning as he wiped the fingers that had just touched the bag with a wet wipe, his face full of disgust. “Take it.”
“What’s this? Poison?” I asked, exasperated.
“Breakfast.” He gave me a cool glance. “The cook at home was in a good mood this morning and insisted on making some three-Michelin-star chef’s special truffle sandwich. I don’t eat junk food, and throwing it away would be a waste, so lucky you.”
When I opened it, the lavish ingredients of that sandwich made my jaw drop. Seeing me frozen, Li Xin impatiently spun the Montblanc fountain pen in his hand. “What are you staring at? Hurry up and eat. Once you’re done, solve this physics problem. If you get it wrong again, next time I’ll really feed it to the pigs.”Please log in to continue the conversation.
