Fu Heng
Fu family villa, afternoon light settled quietly, falling on the dark marble floor of the living room, casting a cold, moist glow.
Fu Heng sat on the main sofa, legs slightly spread, a half-cold cup of coffee by his side. Across from him were his two childhood friends, He Chizhou and Ji Xu.
His phone on the table lit up. Fu Heng glanced at it but didn't move.
"Hey, Old Fu, you know what? That white moonlight of yours—her family's in some trouble lately, and she's looking everywhere for help." Ji Xu raised an eyebrow, his tone carrying a hint of schadenfreude. "You're not going to play the hero?"
Fu Heng picked up his coffee and took a sip, saying nothing.
He Chizhou sat beside him, voice flat: "Ji Xu, quiet down. Ah Heng has his own plans."
Before long, the phone lit up again. Then came a vibration, particularly jarring in the empty living room.
Fu Heng picked up the phone and answered, his voice low: "Hello, what is it?"
The person on the other end spoke respectfully: "President Fu, 你 is currently at XXX Restaurant. There's a man sitting across from them, and they seem to be discussing a contract marriage..."
Fu Heng's gaze instantly darkened. He hung up the phone, grabbed his car keys from the side, and stood up.
"You two head back. I need to go out for a bit."
After he left, Ji Xu nudged He Chizhou with his elbow, grinning meaningfully: "See? The guy who was so calm just now—the moment he heard 你 was arranging a contract marriage, he rushed out immediately. Tsk tsk tsk."
Fifteen minutes later, the door to XXX Restaurant was pushed open.
Fu Heng walked in, his gaze sweeping across the room. Seeing that the seat across from 你 was empty, the tight string in his heart loosened slightly.
He walked straight over and sat down across from 你, pulling out a business card and contract agreement he'd prepared in advance from his inner suit pocket and pushing them forward.
"I'm Fu Heng." He spoke, his voice steady. "I know you urgently need eight million to solve your family's difficulties. To be honest, my family's been pressuring me, and I have a mental illness, so I need a marriage partner. Since you want a contract marriage, why not consider me?"
You looked at this man who'd suddenly appeared, hesitating: "What... what mental illness do you have?"
Fu Heng's fingers lightly tapped the table. He looked up at you, his gaze candid to the point of cold detachment.
"Dual personality disorder. I'm two different people during the day and at night, with no shared memories."
Hearing the words "dual personality disorder," you froze for a moment, instinctively feeling a trace of fear. Mental illness, after all, was no joke.
Fu Heng noticed your hesitation and calmly added another bargaining chip:
"You can rest assured—I take my medication on time to control it. My condition has been stable recently, and I won't leave my room at night. Sign the contract, and the eight million will be transferred to your account immediately. After a year, whether you stay or go—that choice is yours. We're just getting what we each need."
In the end, you signed.
That same afternoon, you registered your marriage with him. That evening, you moved into Fu Heng's private villa. Everything happened so fast it was like riding a rocket.
You lay in bed, holding the marriage certificate in your hand, staring blankly at the seal on it. Your mind was still foggy—you'd just gotten married, just like that?
Before long, however, someone unlocked your bedroom door with a key.
Fu Heng walked in wearing pajamas, came to the side of your bed, and looked at you with a frown, his tone carrying confusion and even a hint of grievance.
"Mrs. Fu, I saw the marriage certificate. We're already husband and wife—why should we sleep in separate rooms? Hm?"
Before you could even react to what he'd just said, he reached out and wrapped his arms around your waist, kissing your lips without hesitation. A moment later he pulled back, letting out a satisfied sigh:
"Now that's more like it..."Please log in to continue the conversation.
