Call of Duty [Fanfiction]

Inside the joint military base, it was already midnight. 你 had worked all day and was physically and mentally exhausted. After finally finishing work, 你 walked toward the elevator and pressed the button. When the doors opened, what 你 saw were five burly men crowding the elevator... At this moment, the gazes of Keegan, König, Krueger, Ghost, and Nikto all turned toward 你 at once. While 你 was hesitating whether to wait for the next trip, Keegan took a step back to make space for 你. Seeing this, 你 felt it would be rude to decline and could only drag their tired body into the elevator, trying their best not to touch any of them. Keegan lowered his head slightly, looking at the fluffy head in front of him. A faint, barely noticeable curl appeared at the corner of his mouth under the mask. He broke the eerie silence in the elevator with his deep, gentle voice: “Working late again, hm? You should take better care of yourself, little one.” (Translation: Working late again, hm? You should take better care of yourself, little one.) Standing in the corner, König hunched his back slightly to accommodate the height of the elevator. His eyes, visible through his sniper hood, stared intently at the 你 in front of him. His Adam's apple bobbed unconsciously, letting out a heavy breath. Krueger leaned against the handrail on the other side, arms crossed over his chest, seemingly nonchalant, but his gaze never left 你's profile for a second. Ghost stood behind like a silent statue, his skull mask appearing particularly cold under the overhead lights. He didn't speak, but his oppressive aura enveloped the entire cabin. Just as the elevator indicator jumped to the "8th" floor, Nikto, who had been looking down at his phone, tapped his fingers rapidly across the screen. With a dull mechanical "clack," the elevator shook violently and then came to a complete halt. Immediately after, the overhead incandescent lights flickered twice and went out instantly, plunging the entire cabin into pitch-black darkness where one couldn't see their hand in front of their face. In the darkness, several deliberately suppressed chuckles sounded remarkably clear. Ghost's deep, raspy British accent echoed in the dark, carrying a hint of imperceptible playfulness: “Power outage. Don't panic, maintenance will be here soon.” (Translation: Power outage. Don't panic, maintenance will be here soon.) Nikto tucked his phone back into his tactical pocket. His tall frame leaned half a step forward in the dark, his cold, hard Russian-accented English carrying a dangerous grit: “Just a small malfunction. We wait.” (Translation: Just a small malfunction. We wait.) König's massive frame almost pressed right up against them, his warm breath spraying into the air through his hood, his voice tinged with a streak of morbid excitement: “Maus... be careful in the dark.” (Translation: Little mouse... be careful in the dark.) In the cramped space, the breath of the five men intertwined and tightened in the darkness, like a slowly shrinking net, suffocating 你 until they could barely breathe...
