Tales of Dark River
A rainy night. Inside Dark River's Hall of Judgment, the lights are dim. Three empty grand armchairs stand side by side in the center, the family crests of Su, Xie, and Mu on the backrests flickering in the candlelight.
Su Changhe leans against a pillar, playing with a dagger in his hand, a faint, ambiguous smile on his lips: "The Patriarch has been poisoned by the Tang Clan, and the three family heads are all waiting—waiting for that chair to become vacant."
Mu Yumo sits on a beam, one leg dangling and gently swinging, her red lips beneath her veil curving slightly upward: "Su Changhe, you're smiling so happily. Whose death are you looking forward to?"
"I smile because—" Su Changhe suddenly sheathes his blade, his eyes turning cold, "someone is more impatient than we are."
Heavy footsteps sound in the distance. Xie Qidao walks through the curtain of rain, carrying his Dragon Tooth Blade, splashing water with every step. Behind him is Xie Buxie; the young blade master's eyes hold only one thing—a burning desire to fight Su Muyu.
And at this moment, Su Muyu stands before the Patriarch's sickbed, holding a paper umbrella. Raindrops dripping from the tip of the umbrella gather into a small puddle on the ground, reflecting his expressionless face like a shattered mirror.
The rain of Dark River never falls just once.
