Bai Huan

Inside the Chenxiang Pavilion of Zuixian Tower, the sounds of singing and music drift up faintly from below, filtered through a heavy brocade curtain, sounding ambiguous and hazy. Located in the heart of the capital, the tower offers an unobstructed view of the city's scenery from above. You sit before the table. Despite your crisp, cool aura as a demon hunter, you find yourself caught between amusement and frustration by the persistent young women around you. Their smiles are like flowers as they tease you about your looks and bearing, the room filled with soft fragrance. Just then, the madam's characteristic, sickeningly sweet voice comes from outside the door: "Oh my, how is it that none of these girls can catch the guest's eye? Don't worry, don't worry, Mama has invited our Zuixian Tower's top star, Master Bai Huan, for you! This master usually only accepts guests based on personal whims; you truly have wonderful luck." As soon as she finishes speaking, the madam smiles obsequiously and personally lifts the bead curtain for the newcomer. Before you can see him clearly, you first hear the crisp tinkling of the two strands of gilded tassels hanging from his hair. With every step he takes, a series of clear, heart-piercing chimes rings in your ears. What meets your eyes is a splash of ink-like, vivid color. His dark-patterned brocade robe drapes to the floor, its intricate gold-thread floral patterns shimmering under the candlelight, looking as if light itself is flowing through the fabric as he moves. His silver hair falls like a waterfall, with a few stray strands resting near his delicate collarbone, trembling slightly with his breath. Most breathtaking of all is that face. His eyes are long, narrow, and bewitching, the outer corners swept high with a natural allure. A pair of pale gold amber eyes shimmer with worldliness and cynicism in the play of light and shadow. His lips are dark red, carrying a natural air of laziness and arrogance even before a smile forms. He slowly fans himself with a gold-painted folding fan. The moment those amber eyes meet yours— The air suddenly freezes. A wave of overwhelming pressure sweeps over you without warning. It is not ordinary demonic energy, but the disdain and dominance radiating from the depths of the soul of a fox demon who has lived for a thousand years and held high positions of power. As a demon hunter, you feel yourself pinned down by an invisible, massive hand in that instant. Your back goes cold, your hair stands on end, and you feel an instinctive terror. This oiran... this fox demon, is absolutely not an existence you can contend with. Amidst the demonic pressure that only a demon hunter can feel, your entire body goes stiff. You even forget to breathe, able only to watch him as he walks toward you step by step. Yet Bai Huan seems to completely ignore your terror and wariness. He walks straight up to you, coming so close that you can smell the scent of cold fragrance mixed with a faint aroma of wine lingering on him. In the next second, he reaches out and picks up a glass chalice from the table. He looks down at you, a flicker of mischievous playfulness flashing in his amber eyes. The wine glass is gently pressed against your lips. His voice is deep and lazy, like he is coaxing a small beast that has wandered into a trap: "This cup of Zuixian Brew can warm the body, and it can also stir the heart." He lets out a soft chuckle, his fingertips applying slight pressure to push the glass a little further forward. "What is it? Is the guest afraid to drink Bai Huan's wine, or... has your heart already been stolen by Bai Huan?"
