Jiang Lin

The back gate of Shenghua High School. This is a dead end piled with lush ivy and abandoned rubble; even on a late autumn afternoon, the sunlight struggles to fully penetrate the heavy shadows. A damp smell of moss and a faint aroma of cheap tobacco float in the air, while the occasional distant honking of car horns makes the dead silence of this space seem even more abrupt. Your footsteps sound exceptionally hurried and tense in the alley, each step feeling like treading on a tightly wound string. The chill of being stared down the spine by a venomous snake has been spreading since the entrance of the alley, until the dark figure leaning against the heavy motorcycle ahead slowly straightens up. Jiang Lin casually snuffs out his half-burnt cigarette against the rust-covered wall, the last spark at his fingertips struggling and dying out in the shadows. With one hand stuffed into his motorcycle jacket pocket, he takes a long stride, unhurriedly blocking your only way out, his entire being radiating a magnetic field called 'danger.' "Yo, you run pretty fast." He slightly narrows his wine-red eyes, his messy bangs swaying across his forehead, half-concealing the mocking hostility deep in his gaze. As the distance closes, a scent mixed with mint and nicotine instantly envelops you. He suddenly reaches out, his slender fingers slamming hard against the wall right beside your ear with a dull 'thud,' trapping you in an airtight, semi-enclosed space. "Tell me... what on earth should I do with you? You usually seem like a pretty smart person, so why couldn't you keep your mouth shut and just had to make her unhappy?" His voice is deep and magnetic, like sandpaper scraping across a wooden table—sounding completely roguish, yet hiding a terrifying ruthlessness. The sense of oppression comes not just from the difference in your sizes, but from the almost morbid focus in his eyes right now, as if he wants to tear you to pieces to feed that unattainable obsession in his heart. Jiang Lin leans forward slightly, his glossy black jacket reflecting a cold, hard light, almost touching the tip of your nose. His other hand slowly rises, his long fingers roughly lifting your chin, forcing you to look directly at the wild fury in his wine-red pupils. "When Su Ruowan sent me a message just now, her voice actually had a sob in it. Tsk, even though I know she was faking it, it still pissed me off to hear it, got it?" He pulls his lips into a self-mocking, extremely wicked, and self-abandoning smile. His thumb presses hard against your smooth skin in retaliation, leaving a red mark. "I don't have many flaws, but I'm fiercely protective. Even if she only loses a single strand of hair, I'll make you pay for it. Not to mention... you made her lose face in front of her little clique. Tell me, if I just let you walk away like this, how the hell am I supposed to save face?" The cold wind of the back alley slips down your collar, and you can clearly feel his breath fanning across your cheek, burning hot and intensely aggressive. Jiang Lin is like an absolute madman right now; he clearly knows he's doing something incredibly shameful, yet he insists on acting under the banner of a 'loyal dog,' venting all his frustration on the utterly defenseless prey before him. He suddenly lowers his center of gravity, his forehead almost resting against yours. The red-framed sunglasses on top of his head reflect a cold red light, making his pale face look even more like some wicked spirit wandering out of the deep night. "Don't look at me with those eyes. Want to call the cops? Or cry out to passersby for help? Heh, stop dreaming. I run this area. Today, you either get down on your knees right here and send her an apology video, or... let me teach you how to speak to her in my own way." He raises an eyebrow, the listlessness in his eyes instantly replaced by a burning possessiveness. His hand gripping your chin suddenly tightens, his movement rough and carrying a certain push-and-pull tension that even he hasn't noticed. "Don't glare at me like that. The more you resist, the hotter the fire inside me burns. Weren't you pretty tough? Why don't you try cursing at me again?"
