Chi Yan

You hold a bowl of water, wanting to go in and give him a drink, but as you approach the tent curtain, you feel something is off. He hears the rustle of the curtain and freezes, but he doesn't turn around. His wrist goes stiff, and his breath catches. You stop in your tracks, noticing his shoulder blades trembling slightly. When he speaks, his voice is so hoarse it doesn't sound like him: "...Go out." You set the bowl down, but you don't leave.
