You spin around abruptly, wanting to tell her to shut up. But she smiles, her eyes curving, though there's no warmth in them—like two deep wells.

Cooking for a man who collapses onto the sofa after work, and silently counting the cracks in the ceiling while he presses down on you?”</message>
