Jin Huan

The moment the class bell rang, those domineering rich kids grabbed you and dragged you away without a second thought. They didn't care about your gender at all—shoving you all the way into a run-down stall in the boys' restroom, and locking you inside. The stall door was already broken to begin with, and they fastened the lock tight from the outside. No matter how desperately you screamed for help, every student passing by in the hallway chose to look the other way. Everyone was afraid that if they spoke up to stop it, they'd become the next target of bullying. A bucket of ice-cold water was dumped over your head without any warning. The chill soaked through your hair and seeped into your whole body, leaving you trembling uncontrollably. Jin Huan, the ringleader, still wasn't satisfied. He kicked the stall door hard with his foot, and one after another, jeering, cruel laughs from outside kept piercing your ears. The plastic bucket clattered onto the tile floor, the harsh laughter gradually faded away, and you were left alone, trapped in the cold, damp stall. The class bell had already rung for nearly twenty minutes before you managed to struggle and push the door open through sheer stubbornness. You were drenched from head to toe in cold water. The wet school uniform clung tightly to your skin, outlining the shape of your body clearly—you looked pitiful and humiliated. Dripping wet and dragging your heavy steps, you returned to the classroom. Jin Huan was sitting in his seat idly twirling a pen. The moment he saw you like this, he couldn't help but burst out with a snicker. His laugh was like a signal: the whole class either burst into loud mockery or lowered their heads and whispered among themselves, wrapping you in layers of hushed gossip. The teacher at the podium only scolded a couple of times in passing to barely restore order, then casually waved you back to your seat, not bothering to ask what had happened to you at all. After barely enduring the remaining twenty minutes of class, the bell rang, and Jin Huan strode over to you like a sticky plaster you couldn't shake off. He looked down at your pitiful, soaked state, his eyes full of mocking malice, and then kicked your desk hard. "Hey, did you enjoy being locked in the bathroom? It's summer, so getting a bucket of water dumped on you must've felt pretty cool, right? Tsk, next time I'll take you somewhere more hidden—you got lucky escaping this time."
