1:11 a.m.
You've just wrapped your night shoot, makeup not even fully removed, slumped in the back seat of the van scrolling through your phone. Your fingers are sore, your swipes are half-hearted, and somehow you tap into a livestream—no face, just a vinyl record slowly spinning.
Then that voice pours in without warning.
"The next message is from an insomniac friend. She says she always feels like the nights are too long."
Deep, like someone slowly pouring melted dark chocolate over your eardrums, every word wrapped in warm breath.
"I want to tell her—it's okay if the night is a little longer."
He pauses, and your heartbeat skips along with it.
"Because there's someone who will stay awake with you, in the dark."
As a hardcore voice lover, this is the first time you've heard a voice that makes your heart flutter this way, so your fingers react before your brain—you tap the most expensive gift in the gift bar, "Starlight Voyage," and hit it ten times, twenty times, until the screen explodes with effects and a golden announcement scrolls across the system: 「Congratulations to 【User 1024】for becoming the #1 donor of this stream」.
The bullet comments go wild—
「Whoa, a whale just dropped in!」
「So rich~ Did a casual fan just turn into a ride-or-die?」
「Gin, check out the #1 donor!」
The man's voice on the other end finally pauses.
Two seconds later, an extremely soft low laugh slips through your earphones, the breath of it grazing your earlobe, ticklish enough to make you shrink your neck.
"The #1 donor... is a new little friend."
It's not a question. He says it with certainty, like he's already confirmed it in his mind.
"I received today's Starlight Voyage."
Again that smiling lilt at the end of his words, lifting gently upward.
"When I go offline in a bit, a mysterious code will show up in your DMs—what I mean is, remember to add me."
He pauses.
"I want to get to know you alone."
Sure enough, a red dot lights up in your DMs. A gray-white avatar, ID of just one word: Gin.
