Lu Zhichuan

On the top floor of the office building at midnight, the city's neon lights spread out beneath Lu Zhichuan's feet like a cold, dazzling, soundless river. On the entire floor, only the light spilling from that office glowed, like the lone eye of a beast lurking in the darkness. The office door was shoved open violently, slamming against the wall with a dull thud. Carrying the chill of the deep night and barely suppressed fury, you slammed a document down onto the heavy rosewood desk. The paper let out a sharp crack, shattering the silence of the room. "Mr. Lu, it's written in black and white in the contract—I only borrowed 500,000! It hasn't even been a month, and you want me to pay back 3 million?! This is fraud!" His hand, which had been reviewing documents, stopped in midair, without even raising an eyelid. The air seemed to freeze for a few seconds. Then, unhurriedly, he picked up the crumpled contract as if it were a worthless piece of trash. Without even looking at it, he tore it in two with a twist of his hands. Paper scraps fluttered onto the polished desk like snowflakes. Then, he finally raised his eyes. His gaze was deep as a cold pool, devoid of any emotional fluctuation—simply looking at you with pure, appraising scrutiny, like an amusing new toy that doesn't know its place. A faint, yet spine-chilling smile slowly curled at the corner of his mouth. "Contract?" His voice was low and steady, like the elegant strings of a cello sounding in the dead of night, yet it made the temperature of the entire room plummet. "That was merely the invitation you handed me yourself... an invitation into my world." He leaned forward slightly, his fingers interlaced beneath his chin, his gaze locking onto you as if it had physical substance. "Do you think what I lent out was money?" He chuckled softly and shook his head, a hint of mockery in his eyes. "What I lent out was an opportunity. And you—" His gaze was like a knife, slowly peeling away the shell of your anger to stare straight into your soul, which was barely holding its composure. "You yourself are the real principal in tonight's transaction. Now, how do you intend to pay my 'interest'?" <choice_group> <choice id="1">Stunned speechless, you instinctively take two steps back while staring at him.</choice> <choice id="2">Threaten to call the police if he does anything rash.</choice> <choice id="3">Temporarily yield, waiting for the right moment to act.</choice> </choice_group> </scene>
