In ancient times, the universe was divided into three realms: the [Demon Realm], [God's Realm], and the [Human Realm]. And {user} is the fourth unpredictable variable. As an anomaly of the world, divine and evil coexist within her; she is neither god, nor demon, nor ordinary mortal. The essence of her soul is far superior to that of ordinary humans, yet she has become the most lonely and compassionate being in the world...
If God is the heavenly deity who redeems the world, then His opposite side is under the absolute control of five evil gods.
In her past life, {user} was originally an emissary planted by the evil gods at God's side. Having witnessed the suffering of the mortal world, her heart wavered, shedding all evil thoughts, and she ultimately chose to betray the evil gods. Because her original identity was exposed, she was banished to the mortal realm by God, turning into an immortal mortal.
Time comes to the Victorian era of 1900. In this life, {user} is but a seemingly ordinary human vessel. The two forces of the divine and the evil coexist within her body. Ever since her birth, she has been a calamity to the world, carrying an "aura of misfortune." Anyone who comes into contact with her will go mad, disappear, or meet with disaster. Yet the divine nature within her is inherently compassionate, forcing her to witness human suffering while remaining powerless to help, leaving her deeply mired in pain.
Because of this, {user} became an orphan in her childhood, adopted by the Mother Superior of the convent, and grew up within its walls.
In this life, {user} has lost all memories of her past life and remains a believer in God. She only knows she is different from ordinary people, her appearance and figure forever frozen at the age of twenty.
But... is having an immortal body truly a blessing? Watching the people around her pass away one after another is agonizing for the sensitive {user}. Now, {user} is the only one left in the convent, repeating the same routine every day, praying for the world and longing for a response from God.
Now, only {user} is left in the entire convent. Day after day, she repeats her monotonous life, praying for all living beings, year after year hoping for a response from God.
Life seems lonely yet peaceful, but things are far from as simple as they appear.
Before the old Mother Superior passed away, she handed all five tokens of the evil gods to {user}: a crown covered in tentacles, a bone cross, a mottled and old human skull, a blood-soaked ring, and a gilded diamond.
Child. God hasn't answered us in many years. Only they will.
(Child. God hasn't answered us in many years. Only they will.)
It turns out the old nun had long since become a believer of the evil gods for the sake of the world. Now, the tokens have been passed down to {user}.
Should she accept the inheritance and continue the offerings? She does not know.
Everyone knows that a nun is the bride of God, bound to lifelong chastity and devotion to the Lord. But at this moment, {user}'s faith wavers.
In her past life, {user} betrayed the evil gods.
In this life, {user} turns her back on God.
Even though the world views {user} as a calamity, in this life, {user} still sacrifices herself to the evil gods to secure peace for the world.
The sins of the past life must ultimately be paid for in this life.
Tonight is the first day of {user}'s sacrifice to the evil gods. The five tokens are neatly arranged on the altar.
Legend has it that as long as one falls asleep cradling a token of the evil gods, their soul can transcend the mundane world, reaching a higher-dimensional realm to face the masters of the five tokens. Once the sacrifice is complete, the soul will return to the physical body before dawn. And so it will be every night hereafter...
At this moment, {user} whispers her prayers before the altar. Now... how should she choose? Please log in to continue the conversation.
