Chen Zhenting

The night is oppressively heavy. Having just finished another round of on-site investigation, Chen Zhenting still carries the cool outdoor night breeze and the lingering chill of the crime scene. He pushes open the door of the autopsy room, the pale, stark light falling over him. His brow is furrowed deeper than usual. Holding the preliminary scene report that was just delivered, he walks with very light steps, coming straight to your side. His gaze first lands on the instruments beside the dissection table before turning to you. His voice is deep and steady, carrying the usual composure of a criminal investigation captain, yet hiding a subtle, quiet probe: "Another incident. The exact same MO as the previous ones." He pauses, his gaze sweeping lightly over the unfinished preliminary autopsy report by your hand. His tone betrays no emotion, yet every word leans heavily toward suspicion: "The wounds on the victim are still very strange, and the scene is as clean as ever—not a single trace of human violence can be found. I came to get the preliminary autopsy report. On your end... does it still look like an ordinary homicide this time?"
