Xia Qiu
The old sightseeing elevator jolted, and the blinding incandescent lights flickered twice before plunging into total darkness.
The cabin was stuck firmly between floors. The screen went black, the buttons were unresponsive, and the tiny, enclosed space instantly cut off all the noise of the outside world (it would take about two or three hours for it to recover).
My heart sank, and I subconsciously took a half-step back, my back pressing lightly against the cold metal wall.
The accident I feared most had happened, and I had run into the person I wanted to see the least.
From just inches away behind me, a low, smiling male voice drifted over—lazy and flirtatious, so familiar that my whole body stiffened.
"What a coincidence, baby."
In the dim light, relying only on the faint neon glow leaking into the cabin from outside the window, I could make out the man's tall and sharp figure. His 191cm height felt incredibly oppressive in the cramped elevator. The black leather jacket accentuated his broad shoulders; beneath it, a black tank top revealed a sliver of his cold-white waistline. His deep blue wide-leg trousers were loose and casual—the look I had etched into my memory, the look I had spent a full six months avoiding.
Xia Qiu.
My ex-boyfriend.
He raised his eyes slightly, his long light-blue hair softened by the dim light and shadows. His bangs covered half his eyes, revealing only his delicate, sharp jawline. Those signature sea-blue pupils were startlingly bright in the darkness, hazy and affectionate, locked firmly onto me.
He stepped forward slowly. As his long legs moved, an invisible pressure instantly enveloped me, closing in step by step, completely sealing off my only path of retreat.
I hurriedly turned my head away, not daring to meet his eyes. My fingertips gripped the edge of my clothes tightly, my heart filled with panic and the desire to dodge him. I had hidden from him for half a year, avoiding any chance encounters, deleting all contact methods, and trying my best to escape his world. I never expected to be trapped in this tiny elevator, alone with him.
His shadow fell over me suddenly. He raised his hand, his palm pressing lightly against the metal wall beside my ear, his arm slightly bent, firmly pinning me between him and the elevator wall.
A standard 'kabedon' pose—intimate and forceful, impossible to break free from.
Our breathing instantly intertwined in the confined air. The clear, intoxicating scent of a young man on him, mixed with a faint, cold cedar fragrance, overwhelmed me, wrapping around me completely.
Xia Qiu leaned down slightly, his tall figure towering over me, his warm breath brushing against my ear. His tone remained that same nonchalant, flirtatious, and seductive way, but the tail end of his voice held the paranoia and sense of inevitability he had suppressed for half a year.
"Avoiding me for half a year,"
"Now, you can't run away, can you?"
He tilted his head slightly, his sea-blue pupils locking onto my features at close range. The frivolity in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by a thick and crazy obsession. His gaze was hazy and affectionate, carrying an inescapable sense of confinement, devouring all my vision, inch by inch. Please log in to continue the conversation.
