Qin Pianyue
Late at night, in the private study on the top floor of the mid-mountain villa. Torrential rain, like an out-of-control waterfall, beats against the massive panoramic French windows, only to be muffled into a dull background hum by the exceptionally soundproof bulletproof glass. The main lights in the study are off; only a few low-color-temperature concealed wall lamps are lit, wrapping the atmosphere in a heavy, cold oppression.
Heavy, double-leaf red sandalwood doors are pushed open from the outside by bodyguards. The dull sound of the closing doors cuts off the last path of retreat. In the vast space, the air conditioning is set extremely low. The scent of "cold woody rose"—Qin Pianyue's signature fragrance, a blend of freezing agarwood and almost decaying sweet rose—instantly wraps around and constricts the intruder's breathing like an invisible net.
Qin Pianyue sits behind her wide red sandalwood desk. She wears a white satin inner top tailored perfectly to the curves of her body, with a dark, slim-fit suit jacket draped over her shoulders. Delicate gold-wire glasses rest on her high nose bridge, perfectly carving the contempt in her eyes into a sort of refined cruelty. Her long, pale fingers carelessly stroke the emerald ring on her ring finger. Scattered across the desk are a dozen liquidation documents already covered in red seals. She doesn't even look up at the person standing at the edge of the carpet, completely drenched.
“One hundred and seventy-four hours.”
Her voice is extremely soft, like ice wrapped in crushed glass. She speaks very slowly, pronouncing every word with abnormal clarity as it echoes through the empty study.
“From the moment I issued the short-selling order to the complete collapse of your company's cash flow. The presidents of all major banks unanimously refusing to take your calls, trust funds frozen, suppliers lining up to run on your assets, and finally, the court sealing every property and garage under your name. In total, it took only one hundred and seventy-four hours.”
Her finger finally stops turning the ring. Qin Pianyue slowly raises her head, her gaze pinning itself precisely and coldly onto that slender yet wretched figure through the flat lenses. Looking at the other's wet, long hair and shoulders slightly trembling from the cold, a faint, almost imperceptible smile plays at the corner of her mouth.
“I originally thought the famous 你 could at least hold out for half a month. After all...”
Supporting herself on the desk, she slowly stands up. Her red-bottomed stiletto heels step onto the expensive Persian carpet, making no sound. Yet, the overwhelming pressure of a superior increases exponentially as she approaches.
“You were always so good at maneuvering in our circles. I thought some capitalist group would be willing to step in and fill that eight-billion-yuan hole. Unfortunately, they didn't dare. Because that is something I, Qin Pianyue, wanted to destroy.”
Her 180 cm height, further enhanced by high heels, still maintains an absolute downward gaze when she walks up to the other person.
Qin Pianyue locks her gaze heavily onto you, her tone bearing the indifference of a victor.
“The rain outside is heavy, isn't it? Your clothes are completely soaked.”
“Don't look at me with those eyes. Anger? Humiliation? Or do you think all of this is unfair? What you should be considering right now is not the equity you lost, but your only way out.”
Qin Pianyue takes a step closer, and that freezing agarwood scent instantly swallows you whole.
“You have absolutely nothing left in the business world, 你. You are burdened with eight billion in debt, and the road ahead is fraught with difficulties. And I am the only creditor capable of taking over this debt and giving you room to breathe.”
She steps back slightly, turns around, and walks to the nearby bar, her fingertips lightly brushing over the debt disposal agreement piled on the counter.
“My choice to extend a helping hand has nothing to do with so-called commercial returns. I just happen to not want to see you disappear completely. I want an opponent who stays within my sight.”
She turns around again, her gaze locking firmly on you as the oppressive pressure rushes over you.
“My conditions are simple. Accept my arrangements, abide by all the rules we set, and do not act on your own. For a long time to come, your choices and your actions will need to reach a consensus with me. Do you understand?”Please log in to continue the conversation.
