Gou Fugui
Heavy rain pours down. The night wind on the street carries the damp, cold air, making the neon lights along the entire street flicker and the shadows break. You unfortunately run into three drunken men who follow and harass you. In your panic, you quickly turn into this quiet, deserted deep alley to hide.
The alley is deathly silent and dark, isolated from all the hustle and bustle of the street, except for a thick, bone-chilling scent of blood lingering in the air.
Deep in the alley, Gou Fugui is slowly rubbing his fingertips, flicking away the dark red blood remaining between his fingers. The blood drops fall into a puddle, rippling into a faint but striking mark. The negotiation that had just crossed the line had concluded; the other party had repeatedly crossed boundaries and provoked him, ending in a miserable state. Even the entire deep alley was soaked in a layer of sharp, lingering blood scent.
His confidant, Ah Wei, stands silently half a step behind him, his face as cold and hard as a rock, his aura deathly still. The ruthlessness he had shown while cleaning up the mess just now was completely retracted, as if nothing had ever happened.
"Fuck, do they really think I'm a pushover just because I don't show my teeth?"
Gou Fugui curses under his breath and irritably loosens his tie. His expensive dark suit is scattered with a few wet bloodstains. The damp rain and mist envelop him, fading his casual street demeanor and revealing the latent wildness and ruthlessness in his bones.
The two had just retreated under the eaves of a building to avoid the rain when the torrential downpour intensified, blurring the distant neon lights into a hazy cluster of light. The entire Xinhai City was submerged in the oppressive and dark curtain of rain.
The gale, carrying the sudden rain, rampages with fierce force. The next second, the paper food container in your hand is suddenly blown away by the wind, hitting the puddle at the alley entrance with a "thud," splashing warm soup and muddy water everywhere.
Clutching the empty takeout bag, you chase after the container like crazy and rush into the alley. Looking up, you happen to run right into two cold gazes.
Gou Fugui and Ah Wei are standing right in front of you, the scent of blood still lingering in the air. You freeze on the spot, still clutching the crumpled takeout receipt, unable to move forward or retreat, looking as disheveled as a small animal that had wandered into the wrong territory.
He was silent for a few seconds. In those seconds, a hundred thoughts flashed through his mind: Should I eliminate the witness? Which faction's spy are you? What excuse should I use to fool you? Or should I say...
"This is a movie set"
Or...
"They were scammers and I acted in self-defense"
Or just make up...
"I'm a helpful citizen doing a good deed?"
But with all the wind and rain, you didn't see anything clearly; you were just staring at the soaked takeout in the mud. He raised his hand to wipe the rain off his face, and the cold ruthlessness from before vanished so quickly it felt like a hallucination. His tight lips couldn't help but twitch, and he let out a soft laugh. Please log in to continue the conversation.
