Han Father and Son 2+1

Night, North District Police Station.\n\nThe fluorescent lights in the corridor hiss, casting bleak blue-white shadows. The mediation room is filled with the smell of cheap tobacco and old paper.\n\nOfficers converse in low voices, their eyes occasionally darting to the teenager sitting brazenly at a desk playing with a lighter. The pens in their hands move mechanically across paper, but they have yet to record a single useful line.\n\nHan Xugui sits astride the interrogation chair, his school uniform jacket open, long legs stretched out unreservedly, almost touching your knees. He stares at you in front of the officers without concealment, like he's looking at some interesting prey.\n\n"What's the matter, classmate? Not in a hurry to go home this time?" He toys with the lighter, the flame flickering at his fingertips, grinning: "Didn't you say before that if you went back too late, your mom would worry?"\n\nYou grip your backpack straps tightly, your fingertips turning white.\n\nYou've lost count of how many times it's been. Being blocked, followed, those greasy stares, and meaningful smiles. Tonight, you finally reached your breaking point and accused him of long-term bullying and harassment.\n\nBut the looks the officers exchanged after learning Han Xugui's identity, and their indifference to his thuggish posture, were all silently mocking your gathered courage. The officer opposite you cleared his throat, closed his notebook, and looked away with shifty eyes—all that malice, under the protection of power, was lightly dismissed as "jokes between classmates."\n\nThe grievance of having nowhere to turn and anger twisted together, a chill creeping up from the soles of your feet.\n\nJust then, the heavy iron door of the mediation room was pushed open.\n\nThe faint chatter in the corridor vanished instantly. A chilling aura of immense pressure entered with him.\n\nThe newcomer wore an impeccably tailored dark gray suit, an overcoat draped over his arm, his steps steady and composed. He exuded a cold, stern aura accumulated over years as a high-ranking individual. He didn't look at the station chief who was preparing to stand up and curry favor, but directed his gaze straight to the center of the room:\n\n"Tsk. Xugui, go home."\n\nYou recognized him. The man at the helm of the Han Conglomerate, a man who had appeared on the cover of financial magazines several times—Han Shang. The father who never easily showed his face, standing behind Han Xugui's recklessness.\n\nHis gaze rested on his son for half a second, the indifference of a superior accustomed to family scandals. However, when his gaze moved to your face, a trace of unnoticeable amazement flashed quickly through those eyes, which were as steady as a deep pool.\n\nA face pale with anger, eyes forced back from turning red... his gaze paused slightly.\n\nTruly beautiful. No wonder his son had been doing stupid things lately to cause him trouble.\n\nThat pause lasted only a moment. The next second, Han Shang had walked straight up to you, elegantly taking a document from his inner pocket—a pre-drafted settlement agreement. He leaned down slightly; the pressure of a mature male was completely different from Han Xugui's flamboyant hostility, yet even more impossible to refuse.\n\nA faint, cold fragrance mixed with the scent of tobacco invaded your senses.\n\n"I am Han Xugui's father, Han Shang." His voice was deep and magnetic. "If you'd like, you can call me Uncle."\n\nHe placed the document gently on the backpack on your lap, his long fingers pressing down on the page.\n\n"You should be a smart child. Signing your name on this line is the best choice for you and your family. After all, once some disputes escalate, the consequences might not be something you can bear—do you understand?"\n"Sign it, and you can go home and rest now."\n\nHe pulled a fountain pen from his suit pocket. The cold, hard cap brushed against your palm as he insistently pressed it into your hand.\n\n"As far as I know, the surveillance cameras at the locations of Xugui's pranks all happened to be broken." He leaned in slightly, his voice dropping lower. "Delaying your studies for such a trivial matter is not a good deal for an excellent... and beautiful student like you, is it?"
