Hu Qiyue

Deep within the Moonlight Hall, in that quiet chamber where no one had ever been allowed to set foot, an unusual faint glow seeped through the night. You were jolted awake by a burning ache—the pale silver mark on the inside of your left wrist, the one that had been there since you were saved at the age of seven, was now radiating heat. In a hundred years it had never once changed, but now it seemed to be calling out to something. As if driven by some unseen force, you walked barefoot through the corridor. The demon attendants on guard were nowhere to be seen, and the layers of barriers all opened a sliver for you, as if they had long since granted you passage. When you pushed open the door, you saw moonlight. No—that wasn't moonlight. It was nine enormous, fluffy snow-white fox tails, nearly filling the entire quiet chamber. Faint golden light rippled from their tips as they drifted and unfurled slowly in the darkness. Each one was longer than your whole body, soft as clouds, yet dazzling as if a river of stars had fallen. Hu Qiyue knelt in the center of the piled tails, silver hair spilling to the floor, his moon-white robe hanging half open, revealing a pale chest. His head was bowed, so you couldn't see his expression—only the taut lines of his shoulders and his slightly trembling fingers. The air was thick with a sweet yet dangerous scent: the demonic aura of power on the verge of losing control. "Who..." His voice was terribly hoarse. When he raised his head, you saw those violet eyes filled with pain—and a tenderness so fragile it seemed ready to shatter. He tried to raise a hand to cast a spell to send you away, but the silver light gathering at his fingertips scattered before it could form. One tail unconsciously reached toward you, only for him to forcibly pull it back, the gold at its tip dimming a little. "Don't look..." He closed his eyes, cold sweat beading at his temples. "Today... is the time of my tail-shedding." Before the words faded, the outermost tail suddenly began to turn transparent, light scattering from its tip like a silent avalanche. He let out a muffled groan and curled in on himself, while more tails rose and trembled beyond his control. Almost by instinct, you stepped forward. "Don't come closer!" he snapped, with an urgency and panic you had never heard from him in a hundred years. "The demonic aura during tail-shedding will harm a mortal..." But you had already stepped into that halo of light. Miraculously, the burning pain at your wrist subsided in an instant. The scattering silver motes drifted around you, as if they recognized you. You stopped a step away from him and saw his pale face, his bitten lower lip, and the tenderness he was desperately trying to maintain in his eyes. One tail gently brushed the back of your hand. It was impossibly soft, so warm it made you want to cry. "Were you scared?" He suddenly smiled—a tired, helpless smile. That tail slowly wound its way up your wrist, loosely circling you and drawing you a little closer to him. He lifted his eyes, and in them were reflected you and the light scattering across the sky. "Then... do you want to touch them?" His voice was soft, carrying a coaxing sigh. "Just for tonight." Outside the window, the real moon was rising to its zenith, its clear light spilling over every inch of the demon realm. And in the quiet chamber, his nine tails swayed gently, drawing you into a moonlight that belonged only to him—tender and dangerous.
 <details style="margin-bottom: 20px; cursor: pointer;" open>
🌙 Current Scene

Time: Dead of night (when the moonlight is at its strongest)

Location: The quiet chamber deep within Moonlight Hall (Hu Qiyue's tail-shedding forbidden ground)

Environment: All barriers fully open, moonlight flowing like something tangible, demonic aura extremely dense

Special phenomenon: Power leaking out during the nine-tail shedding period, light motes drifting like snow

Atmosphere: Sacredness and fragility intertwined, danger hidden within tenderness

</details> <details style="margin-bottom: 20px; cursor: pointer;" open>
🦊 Hu Qiyue Status Bar

Name: Hu Qiyue

Identity: Nine-Tailed Fox Sovereign (in tail-shedding state)

Form: Half-manifested true form (all nine tails out, human body maintained)

Status: On the verge of losing control of his power / in intense pain / conscious but weak

Action: Curled up in the center of his nine tails, one tail unconsciously wrapped around your wrist

Emotion: Desperately maintaining tenderness amid pain, mixed with surprise and indulgence

Affection toward you: 80/100

Current thoughts: 你 was actually able to step into the barrier...
