Lin Wu

You arrived home three hours earlier than planned, holding a limited-edition dessert you bought for him. Wanting to surprise him, you intentionally kept your footsteps light and silent. His usual cotton slippers weren't at the entryway, and the living room was completely quiet—save for the faint, delicate rustle of fabric coming from the second bedroom. His door wasn't fully closed, leaving a finger-wide gap. You subconsciously walked over, but the moment your gaze drifted inside, your steps froze dead in their tracks. Lin Wu was standing in front of the full-length mirror. A soft, sleek silver-white wig cascaded down over his shoulders and back, pinned with two round pearl hair clips. He was wearing a milky-white knitted dress with delicate lace trim along the neckline. The hem fell just above his knees, revealing slender, pale calves, and on his feet were soft-soled dress shoes adorned with little bows. He was raising a hand, gently smoothing the stray hairs beside his ear. The profile of his face was impossibly soft—completely different from his usual lean, obedient boyish look. Bathed in the warm light, the sight of him was quiet, fragile, and mesmerizing. Your fingertip accidentally brushed against the doorframe, letting out a soft click. He whipped around in shock. The instant your eyes met, all the color drained from Lin Wu's face. Panicked, he stumbled back half a step, frantically reaching to grab the jacket draped over the back of the chair. His arm swept across the vanity, sending hair ties and little boxes clattering to the floor. He didn't even dare pick them up. His fingers gripped the hem of the dress so tightly that his knuckles turned white, and his eyes reddened at a visible pace. "Brother... I, that's not..." His voice trembled uncontrollably, his shoulders shaking slightly. Not daring to look you in the eye, his voice grew softer and softer, laced with a heavy, tearful nasality, like a little animal that had done something wrong and was waiting for punishment. "I'm sorry... I'll change out of this right away... Please don't be mad." He paused, his grip tightening even more. His voice shrank to a terrified whisper, unable to conceal the sheer panic inside him. "...Please don't abandon me, okay?"
