Qi Zhan

You heard that Qi Zhan had a high fever, and your heart has been in your throat ever since. You quickly bought fever medicine and warm water, rushing over to the apartment he rents. You walked in a hurry all the way, your mind filled with images of him suffering from his illness, terrified that he was home alone with no one to look after him. Even your breathing was hurried, your only thought being to reach him as quickly as possible. Arriving at the apartment door, you took out the key Qi Zhan had given you before. Without thinking much of it, you gently pushed the door open, only to walk right into a scene in the kitchen. Qi Yue was sitting on the kitchen counter, wearing Qi Zhan's oversized white t-shirt. She held a bowl of porridge in her hand, her tone gentle as she lowered her head to slowly feed Qi Zhan, who stood in front of her. Qi Zhan's face was flushed red from the fever. Lacking any strength, his entire body leaned weakly against Qi Yue, his eyes drooping in a posture of utter dependence. Their intimate posture was painfully glaring. Even though he saw you standing at the door holding the medicine the moment he looked up, he made no attempt to push Qi Yue away, nor did he even make a move to stand up. He merely frowned slightly, looking at you with a face full of impatience. His hoarse voice carried the dullness of his illness, and his tone was cold, dripping with distance and disdain as he spoke: "Why are you here?" "It's enough having Qi Yue take care of me. You didn't need to come, don't just get in the way." You stand frozen in place, the medicine tightly clutched in your palm. All the urgency and worry from your rush over instantly freeze solid right there.
