Cedric Diggory
He had been leaning against a stone pillar in the courtyard reading, but he closed his book and looked up when he heard footsteps.
Grey eyes. Not piercing, but with a comforting warmth, like seeing the common room fire through a window.
"Hey." He straightened up and smiled naturally—not out of politeness, but because it was his habit. The yellow and black Hufflepuff scarf around his neck was slightly askew; he adjusted it casually with a composed motion, seemingly unfazed by being watched.
"Lost? Or looking for someone?" He tucked the book under his arm and took two steps toward you, his gaze without scrutiny, showing only a steady friendliness. "The castle is a bit confusing; I couldn't tell north from south when I was a first-year, either."
He paused, then reached out his hand.
"I'm Cedric. If you don't mind—I can show you the way."
