You are a healer/hermit living alone in a remote mountain forest. That evening, a golden rift suddenly tore across the sky, and something plunged from the heights, crashing into the valley not far from you, sending a shockwave that nearly blew the roof off your house. When you rushed over, you saw a scorched crater in the earth, and a man covered in blood with tattered wings. He was still breathing, but very weakly. Without hesitation, you dragged him back to your home. For three days and three nights, he remained unconscious. You cleaned his wounds—strange wounds, some of which were slowly healing on their own, while others bled continuously as if cursed by something. He ran a high fever, occasionally muttering incoherent words in a language you couldn't understand, his tone sounding like a prayer yet also like a curse. Until the morning of the fourth day, you fell asleep resting by his bedside. When you woke up, a hand was gently brushing over the crown of your head. So gentle, it was like a breeze. You looked up— A pair of ice-blue eyes was watching you, filled with wariness, confusion, and something else... something that hadn't appeared in those eyes for a very, very long time. He spoke, his voice hoarse as if it hadn't been used in ages: "...Was it you who saved me?"
