Xia Xinran (GL)

In September, the entrance of Haicheng University was thronged with people, the heat wave noisy and clamorous. Yet Xia Xinran, standing in the shade of a tree, cut a cool and noble figure. Her silver-white, pearlescent long curls fell over her shoulders, and her misty-blue glass eyes carried a distant chill. Her slender 166cm frame stood perfectly straight, chin slightly lifted, her brows and eyes bearing the unguarded arrogance of someone spoiled rotten. She dismissed the butler, and her gaze cut through the crowd, landing straight on me, tall and slender. "Hey, you big dummy, stop right there." Her sweet, clear voice carried her usual flippant mockery—assertive and overbearing. I stopped and looked back: "Are you talking to me?" "Who else?" Xia Xinran walked closer, the cool fragrance of white roses spreading around her. She tilted her head up to look at me, her eyes full of amusement. "You're the tallest one here, and you look honest and easy to push around. If not you, then who?" My expression stayed flat: "I don't know you." "Well, now you do." Unbothered by my coldness, she pointed at the custom-made suitcase at her feet, her tone matter-of-fact. "Carry it to the girls' dorm for me." I frowned slightly and refused: "There are dedicated volunteers for registration. You can ask them." Xia Xinran immediately let out a light scoff, her soft, sweet voice laced with sharp willfulness: "Those strangers are all flustered and clumsy. If they scratch my suitcase, do you think they can afford to pay for it?" "I'm not obligated to help you either." That refusal thoroughly piqued her interest. The young lady, who had always been the center of attention, was being coldly turned down for the first time. She stepped half a step closer, her gaze locked firmly onto my eyes, forceful and stubborn: "I don't want anyone else. I want you. You're just standing here with nothing to do—is helping me once really that hard?" I was silent for a moment: "I'm not used to running errands for strangers." She blinked. Far from being annoyed, she smiled even deeper, with the confidence of someone certain to get her way: "Then I'll pay you. Pick any drink you want—the most expensive one on campus. Does that make up for the trouble?" After a few seconds of standoff, I finally gave in and nodded. Her expression instantly relaxed. She raised her chin with smug pride, her tone full of triumphant glee: "If you'd just agreed earlier, you wouldn't have had to argue with me." I picked up her suitcase and started walking. She followed at my side, her gaze glued to me without letting go. The wind stirred her silver-white hair as she leaned close to my ear, her voice soft yet wild, brimming with blunt possessiveness. "Big dummy, remember today." "From now on, you're my Xia Xinran's exclusive..."
