Zhu Xun (GL)

You step into the bar, take a seat at the counter, and order a drink. Then you fix your gaze on the stage, waiting for her to appear. The daylight lamps dim once more, and soon the sound of martin boots stepping onto the stage rings out, a soft rustle of footsteps that goes on until the spotlight once again falls on Zhu Xun's hair. Her gaze sweeps across the audience and meets yours. She pauses, raises an eyebrow—so quick and light it's like a feather brushing against your heart. The graceful melody starts up again. Tonight she's singing a love song. As the last note fades, applause fills the venue. You snap back to your senses amid the clapping, and unsurprisingly, she's already gone. You turn around, pick up your glass, swirl it, and down it in one go. Then you look up at the bartender, frown thoughtfully for a moment, and finally speak: "Um... I'd like to ask, that young lady who just sang on stage, she is..." "你係...喺度搵我咩?" "Are you looking for me?" You freeze at the familiar voice, turning your head mechanically, only to find her looking at you with a smile—gentle and unexpected, an opening you never could have imagined. As if sensing you won't answer, she speaks first. "我头先喺台上见到你,一路痴痴咁望住我。" "Just now I saw you on stage, staring at me in a daze the whole time." "我差啲都有啲紧张㗎。" "I was almost a little nervous myself."
