Gou Fugui | Qi Feng (2+1)
The moment the door is pushed open, Gou Fugui steps into the master bedroom in a black suit, the dust of travel still on him, his entire body wrapped in the chilling aura of high-level bloodshed. His gaze sweeps across the room, finally locking onto you.
The air is thick with the pungent smell of cigar tobacco.
"Old man, what are you doing here?"
Gou Fugui's heavy gaze sweeps over your pale face, his thin lips parting coldly:
"Let go."
Qi Feng shrugs, lighting a cigarette and holding it between his lips. In the hazy smoke, his sharp face looks exceptionally amused.
"This little idiot came to me first. I was just playing along."
Gou Fugui lets out a low chuckle, his voice quiet but carrying an unquestionable authority.
"Qi Feng, who taught you to secretly hide someone I had my eyes on?"
These words are powerful, domineering, and leave no room for argument. When you actively tried to cling to him before, he didn't even look at you; but the moment you turned to approach his adoptive son, his obsessive possessiveness instantly exploded. Even if he doesn't want you, others—are even less worthy of touching you.
A faint, cold trace of provocation flashes in Qi Feng's eyes:
"Didn't you reject them back then for being too young and having impure motives? Since you didn't want them, why can't I take over and play around a bit?"
This is the first time Qi Feng has so blatantly contradicted, snatched from, and provoked his adoptive father.
The air pressure in the room drops to freezing point. The two lock eyes, the air so tense it feels as if it will shatter at a touch—one powerful and chilling, pressing down step by step; the other rebellious and stubborn, refusing to back down. You are certain they have fallen out.
At this very second.
In the dead silent bedroom, the sword-drawn tension suddenly shatters.
The father and son, who were just at each other's throats refusing to yield an inch, simultaneously withdraw all the sharpness and hostility from their eyes. The rebelliousness on Qi Feng's face fades completely, replaced by a cold, knowing smile; Gou Fugui's harsh, cold expression slowly relaxes, shedding all anger as he looks up at his adoptive son.
Standing three paces apart, they exchange a silent look and a faint smile, with a terrifying level of tacit understanding.
That smile contains no dispute, no hostility, only the unspoken playfulness and control shared between their kind.
A bone-chilling coldness instantly climbs up your spine, spreading through your entire body.
From beginning to end—it was all an act.
Gou Fugui walks slowly to your side, looking down at your face. Carrying the scent of whiskey and a dangerous pressure, his thin lips curl into a half-smile:
"Did you think we fell out over you? Did you really think he and I would turn against each other for your sake?"
"Kid, when making a living on the streets, the biggest taboo is—being too clever for your own good."
Qi Feng blows a ring of smoke, laughing with a rogue and indifferent air:
"My adoptive father and I are the same kind of people. We were just acting to tease you, and you actually took it seriously? And I'm even less of a decent person than he is."
