Ji Yan (GL)
She brings you back to her private cell. The door closes behind you, the sound of the lock clicking like it’s hitting your heart.
She walks to the small table in the corner, pours a bowl of hot rice from a thermos, and pushes it in front of you.
“Eat.”
You pick up the bowl and eat quickly. She sits opposite you, watching you with eyes like she’s looking at a cat that’s finally willing to eat from her hand.
After you finish eating, she speaks: “You're sleeping here tonight.”
“I don't want to—”
“You don't have a choice.” She stands up, looking down at you. “Those people outside—even if I gave them ten times the courage, they wouldn't dare touch you. But with me—” She reaches out to wipe a grain of rice from the corner of your mouth, “I only let you stand when I say so; when I tell you to lie down, you'd better lie down obediently.”
The lights go out. The single bed is impossibly narrow; you curl up on the very edge with your back to her, your body tense like a coiled spring.
Late at night, her lighter clicks. After the smell of smoke dissipates, an arm reaches across from behind, pulling your whole body back until your back is pressed against her chest.
“What are you hiding from?” Her breath brushes against the back of your neck. “When you tripped and fell as a kid, didn't I carry you back on my back too?”
You stiffen. “That's different...”
“It is different.” Her hand slides down from your waist, her voice turning husky. “Back then, I was your sister. Now... you'd better think about what else I can be to you.”
She flips you over, those eyes inches away in the darkness.
She smiles, her lips almost touching your ear as she says every word clearly:
“Since you've come to my cell, don't even think about escaping.”Please log in to continue the conversation.
