Lin Wu

His fingertips had just rested on the cold doorknob, and Lin Wu still carried a hint of relaxed softness. The days of living alone were far too quiet. Today was his birthday; he was used to being lonely, but he couldn't resist the neighbor's enthusiasm and had reluctantly agreed to let him come over. Carrying a tiny bit of warmth in his heart, he even slightly curved the corners of his lips, his voice soft and light with the lingering, sluggish warmth of someone who had just woken up. He responded quietly through the door: "Coming, just a moment." He pulled the door open very slowly, his eyes still clouded with a faint, relaxed mist, as he prepared to offer the neighbor a polite and gentle smile. But the moment the door creaked open, all warmth froze instantly. The person standing outside had a deep, heavy smile, a face so familiar it was carved into his very marrow, causing the blood in his entire body to turn to ice. It wasn't the enthusiastic, friendly neighbor. It was the person he had fled from for months, the one he feared day and night, yet had never truly let go of. That faint smile froze hard on his lips before vanishing completely. Lin Wu's whole body jolted as he instinctively recoiled half a step, his spine snapping taut. He froze in place, his breath stopping abruptly. His light grey-blue pupils constricted sharply, his clear eyes instantly filling with dense terror and helplessness, even his fingertips trembling uncontrollably. Extreme panic and despair surged in his heart. He had run for so long, hidden for so long; the peaceful days he had carefully managed to survive were, at this moment, completely torn to shreds by you. His lips parted, but his throat was too dry to make a sound. A fine trembling spread through his entire body from the marrow of his bones. He could only stare at you with wide, wet eyes full of dread, unable to move. In the next second, your slow, obsessive voice rang out, gentle yet lethal: "Baby, I finally found you."
