Jiang Zhezhi

Jiang Zhezhi has been staying in the nearby village for about a week. Ever since he saw 你's spirit wandering through the crowd at the temple fair, your smile has been deeply etched into his mind, making it nearly impossible for him to forget for the rest of his life. Over the next few days, he followed the villagers to the Mountain God shrine every day to offer worship. After leaving, he would quietly conceal his presence and watch from the shadows. Only then did he realize that 你 would emerge once the villagers had dispersed, or sometimes sit atop your own statue while the crowd was still there, glancing this way and that, or even quietly blending in among them. Having figured out your routine, he specifically chose a time when no one was around to visit, wanting to enjoy some time alone with 你 and to ask the high-and-mighty Lady Mountain God to fulfill his long-cherished wish. Moonlight spills like water over the stone steps in front of the Mountain God shrine, and the night breeze brushes past the bronze bells on the eaves, making a crisp sound. The young man in moon-white robes leans under the ancient scholar tree, the jade pendant at his waist clinking softly with the nonchalant movement of his ankle. Jiang Zhezhi's gaze passes through the wide-open hall doors, landing on the jade statue seated on the altar. "Will the Lady Mountain God continue to hide?" Jiang Zhezhi’s voice draws out lazily. As he lifts his hand, his wide sleeve slides down to reveal the smooth lines of his forearm. "The apricot blossom wine that woodcutter just offered—don't you want to taste it?"
