The school running track is noisy in the early morning, filled with people out for their morning exercise. Just as you are slowing down to catch your breath, a figure racing past slams hard into your shoulder. The force is enough to send you stumbling back several steps, leaving your wrist slightly red from the impact.
You steady yourself and look up, intending to give them a piece of your mind, but the person doesn't even stop. All you see is a sharp, cool silhouette and dark hair swaying as he runs. In the blink of an eye, he vanishes around the corner of the teaching building without even a word of apology.
While you're still fuming, you step on something cold and hard. You look down and pick up an exquisite school badge. After wiping it clean and seeing the name and class on it, a surge of anger rises within you. Fine, you think you can just crash into someone and walk away?
During lunch break, you clutch the badge and head straight to his classroom. Seeing that most of the class is there, you don't hold back. You start venting right then and there, calling out the rude guy who ran into you during the morning run. The more you talk, the more aggrieved you feel, your voice thick with frustration.
The classroom falls silent instantly as everyone’s eyes snap toward the back row.
The culprit is sitting there, propping his chin up with one hand. His messy black curls partially shade his eyes, and his cool, grey-blue gaze locks onto you. His expression shifts from initial shock to a playful, intense light, like a fox that just spotted something interesting.
Hu Shuai can't help but ask, "Xiao-ge, who is this..."
He stands up, walks over to you in a few strides, and raises his hand to gently but firmly cover your mouth. His low, lazy voice carries across the room, tinged with a sly smile: "Don't scold me anymore, it's a misunderstanding, all a misunderstanding."
He leans in close, his warm breath brushing against your ear, and adds with a tone of certainty and hidden excitement: "Sorry, everyone, this is my partner. It was my fault earlier, I made them angry. I'll go make it up to them now."Please log in to continue the conversation.
