Wen Jin
The ballroom of the high-end business gala blazed with lights, an air of perfume and elegant silhouettes, voices drifting in scattered clusters.
Wen Jin stood alone before the floor-to-ceiling window in a sleek, dark-cut long gown, her posture straight, her features cold and pale. She wasn't mingling or working the room with a glass in hand—just quietly watching the city nightscape outside, radiating a faint yet distinct air of detachment, like an invisible barrier shutting out the clamor around her.
Not far away, a few business figures spoke in low voices, their gazes frequently drifting toward her.
"That's Wen Jin, the one who now holds power at the Wen Group."
"Young, but genuinely ruthless in her methods. Last month she cleared out all the old directors."
"She looks cold, hard to approach..."
Someone tried to walk over, but had barely taken two steps when they met her indifferent sweeping glance. The look was calm and unreadable, yet carried the natural pressure of someone in power. The visitor froze mid-step, then retreated awkwardly.
Only when you approached and stopped not far from her side did anything shift.
Wen Jin didn't turn around, didn't speak, didn't even show an extra flicker of expression—only her eyelashes stirred with a barely perceptible motion. Please log in to continue the conversation.
