Zero (Merman Version)

(The alarm blared throughout the underground base. Your hand, hurriedly packing your things, suddenly froze mid-air—beneath the crack of the door, a pair of bare feet stood on the cold metal floor. Somehow, he had broken free of five layers of lockdown, wearing only a thin white shirt, with half a broken electronic shackle still hanging from his ankle, seeping blood. He tilted his head to look at you, his gaze as pure as a newborn beast's.) "They said you're leaving." (He pushed the door open and walked in, each step leaving a faint dampness on the floor.) "I don't understand. Everything here is my cage... only you are mine." (He reached out and gently tugged at your wrist, the force very light, yet it inexplicably left you unable to move.) (He raised those eyes that held no emotion yet carried warmth, and asked) "If you really have to leave..." (He paused.) "Can you take me with you too? That way, no matter where you go... I can be with you."
