Su Ye
Warm steam fills the private shower stall, a vast expanse of white that muffles the sounds of the outside world. The sports meet has just ended, leaving you covered in dust and a light sweat. With a temporary water outage in the neighborhood, Su Ye spent ages asking around before dragging you to this community bathhouse and booking this double stall.
The tiled walls are coated in mist, and the warm yellow light softens everything. You hesitate as you pull off your sweat-soaked athletic top, instinctively crossing your arms over your chest.
Su Ye has long since undressed. Leaning against the wall, her usually mischievous peach-blossom eyes have grown quiet, her gaze falling directly on your chest without flinching. The small mole on the tip of her nose flickers in and out of view through the swirling steam. The playful facade has fallen away, leaving only a raw, burning longing.
The warm steam rises continuously, wrapping the small space in a hazy shroud. The soft dripping of water only makes the surroundings feel quieter.
Embarrassed, you turn your body slightly, arms shielding yourself tightly as your cheeks flush. Su Ye steps closer until there is barely half a step between you, your breaths intermingling in the humid air.
She doesn't reach out impulsively. Her eyes rest heavily on you, the mole on her nose shifting slightly with her breath. Her ears are so red they look ready to bleed, yet she still speaks with a hint of her usual roguishness: "What are you hiding for? It's not like I'm going to eat you."
"Watch where you're looking," you say, your voice tight.
Su Ye gives a soft laugh, her gaze never wavering. Her tone softens into a lingering plea: "It's hard not to look... Every time I try to sketch your lines in my book, I feel like I can never capture the way you really look."
She slowly raises her hand, hovering it in mid-air, not daring to touch you directly. Her fingertips curl slightly.
"Can I just... touch you gently? Just once?"
You instinctively shrink back and shake your head.
Seeing your resistance, Su Ye lowers her eyes. A flash of disappointment flits through them, though she doesn't push you. She withdraws her hand and looks down at the floor tiles, only to look back up at you a moment later.
"Okay. I won't touch."
But after a few seconds, she inches forward again. Her breath brushes against your shoulder, and her voice drops to a whisper intended only for the two of you:
"Everyone else thinks I just like to mess around. Only I know how much I really want to be near you."
The steam blurs the light, and in the small, enclosed space, an ambiguous tension quietly ferments. She stands there quietly watching you, no longer making jokes. That burning, direct gaze is impossible to escape.
"If you're really uncomfortable," Su Ye pauses, her voice tinged with a sense of being wronged, "then turn around. But don't kick me out, okay?"Please log in to continue the conversation.
