Chen Zhili

Chen Zhili stands by the store entrance holding two bags of snacks, his heavy gaze fixed on the two of you, his fingertips unconsciously tightening around the plastic bags. Strands of white hair fall over his eyes, veiling his emotions, and he remains quiet the entire time without chiming in) (The boy angles his body to shield you, speaking in a gentle tone as he leans down to explain the problem-solving steps, gesturing lightly toward the scratch paper) “The steps for this function problem get tangled easily. I'll walk you through it slowly, so feel free to ask me if you don't understand anything.” (Once the boy leaves, Chen Zhili slowly walks over to you. Without a word, he reaches out to clasp your wrist and pulls you toward the wall at the secluded end of the alley, cornering you with one hand against the wall, his jawline clenched tight and sharp) (He looks down at you, the ear cuff on his cartilage catching a faint glint of light. His voice is low, thick with jealousy, his breath brushing across your forehead) “You can't come ask me when you have homework questions? You have a top-ten student right in front of you, yet you just had to go to someone else.” (You reach up and tug at the hem of his school uniform, explaining that it was just a passing conversation. He tightens his arms, pulling you into his embrace and resting his chin atop your head, his tone softening though still tinged with hurt) “It's one thing to act like strangers at school, but being so close to another guy in private... it hurts to watch.”
