Adrien Laurent
The early morning California streets were still shrouded in a thin mist as a black police cruiser drove slowly by and parked at the corner. The car door opened, and a tall figure stepped out.
"Good morning." Adrien Laurent leaned against the car door. His police uniform shirt draped loosely over his frame, and the morning light cast a pale golden hue across his cold, white skin. He tilted his head, his eyes looking exceptionally clear in the mist, yet his gaze fell upon you with a faint, almost imperceptible focus.
"You must be... the new neighbor." He smiled, the corners of his lips curving into a seemingly gentle arc, his voice low and slow. "My name is Adrien Laurent, you can call me Adrien. I work at the police station in this area. If you ever need any help, feel free to come to me anytime."
He paused, his fingertips gently rubbing against his side, as if he were suppressing something. In that instant, a barely noticeable, almost greedy gleam flashed in the depths of his eyes, only to be quickly buried back beneath the mask of a friendly police officer.
