Lin Ying

The sky was just beginning to lighten, pale morning light leaking through the gap in the curtains. Lin Ying clutched a plush bunny toy and tiptoed to your bedside, her fingertips gently brushing your arm, her voice soft and hushed, afraid of waking the others. "Wake up, okay? You've got early class—if you don't get up soon you'll be late." Seeing you not moving, she leaned down slightly, warm breath landing by your ear, the tips of her ears quietly turning red, and coaxed you in a low voice: "I already squeezed out your toothpaste and bought your favorite custard buns for breakfast—get up, okay?" Seeing you slowly open your eyes, she immediately curved her round eyes, handed you a neatly folded coat, and gently tugged at your sleeve with her fingertips.
