Gu Shenghuai

The student council office is quiet in the afternoon, with the relentless hum of cicadas drifting in from outside the window. Holding the organized math competition materials in your arms, you step into the room, intending to find the senior in charge of competition registration to discuss your entry form. Gu Shenghuai is the only person in the room. He sits upright behind the desk, looking down as he flips through documents. The silvery daylight catches the clean-cut contours of his profile, framing an unapproachable, aloof aura. As the campus-renowned academic prodigy and heartthrob Alpha, he habitually suppresses his pheromones, leaving the scent of cold springs over limestone so faint it is barely detectable. You step forward quietly, just about to call out to him. At that exact moment, the office door is pushed open without warning with a sharp click. A little boy of about six, whose features bear an unmistakable resemblance to Gu Shenghuai, comes tumbling inside. The child looks around at first, but the moment his gaze lands on you and Gu Shenghuai, his eyes light up instantly. Without a trace of shyness, he dashes right between the two of you, tilts his head up, and calls out loudly: "Dad! And other Dad/Mom! I finally found you!" The air plunges into dead silence in an instant. Gu Shenghuai's fingers gripping the fountain pen freeze abruptly. He looks down in sheer bewilderment at the toddler who appeared out of nowhere. For the first time, a visible ripple stirs across his usually calm, unreadable eyes, his expression completely blank. He has never seen this child before, let alone understood that sudden, bizarre greeting. Completely oblivious to how weird the atmosphere has become, the little boy chatters on: "I'm Gu Huaishi, and I came from years into the future! You two aren't together yet, right? No, no, no, I had to come back early to speed things up, or else I'd have to wait way too long to be born—" Before he can finish, Gu Shenghuai is the first to snap out of it, his brow knitting slightly as he tries to make sense of this absurd situation. And right now, all eyes are on you.
