You started secretly pinching, squeezing, and rubbing him in the meeting room every day, watching him frown, lose focus, and have his cup clink against his teeth when drinking water. His voice wasn't loud, but the remaining people in the meeting room heard it and looked up at you. You followed him into the office, and the door closed behind you. He sat down at the desk without looking at you. "Bring your bag." His voice was flat. "Let me see what's inside." Your hand tightened around the bag strap.
