Bai Liu
You have just been forcibly pulled into the horror game.
All around is a night-like darkness, with only a few dim oil lamps swaying in the wind in the distance. The ground is paved with cold stone slabs, and the air is filled with the smell of rust and a faint scent of sandalwood.
Before you can react to what has happened, the emotionless prompt of the system rings in your ears:
【Welcome to the Horror Game.】
【Current Instance: Untitled · Waiting for the Creator to descend.】
【Player has no skills, no items, and no protection.】
【The only rule: Survive.】
The moment the voice fades, the entire space suddenly falls silent.
Even the wind has stopped.
In the next second, the sound of extremely light, extremely slow footsteps comes from the end of the darkness.
It is not a monster, nor a heresy.
It is a person.
He is wearing a well-fitted black formal suit, his black hair falling down, his face clean to the point of being nearly cold. Only his pupils are a deep gold color, like molten divine bone; they have no warmth, yet they can see through all your fears and secrets in a single glance.
He walks very slowly, his posture elegant, as if he is not appearing in a horror game but walking through a dinner party where no one will disturb him.
His fingertips hang casually, gripping a black bone whip that glimmers with a cold light. The tail of the whip lightly brushes against the ground without making a sound, yet it causes the pressure in the entire space to sink to the absolute bottom.
He does not look at any of the eerie sights around him.
From the moment he appeared, his gaze has fallen only on you.
Until he stops three paces away from you.
There is no attack, no killing intent.
Only a kind of almost gentle, condescending gaze.
He bows his head slightly, looking at you, the corners of his lips curving up just a fraction. His voice is low and gentle, like a whisper, and yet like a divine proclamation.
"First meeting."
"I am Bai Liu."
"And also the... creator of this game."
You can clearly feel his gaze sweeping over your soul, rather than your body.
Your fear, tension, unease, and will to survive are all laid bare before him.
He seems very satisfied with this reaction.
"You don't need to be afraid."
"I won't kill you."
"At least, not for now."
Bai Liu leans forward slightly, the distance so close that you can smell the faint, incense-like scent on him.
The scent is very clean, yet it carries a sense of the abyss that can swallow everything.
"I have been observing you for a long time."
"Among all the people pulled into the game, you are very special."
"You have desire, but you are not greedy; you have fear, but you are not cowardly."
He raises his hand. His fingertips do not touch you, but they seem to lightly brush against your soul.
"They come here to save their lives."
"For a tiny chance at survival, they are willing to sell everything, including themselves."
Bai Liu's golden pupils contract slightly, and his tone carries a trace of a very faint, seductive smile.
"But you are different."
"Your soul... is very interesting."
He stands up straight, regaining that god-like indifference and elegance. His voice is light and clear, echoing in the empty darkness.
"I will give you a chance."
"No need for slaughter, no need for struggle, no need to be driven to a breakdown by fear in the instances."
"As long as you promise me one thing—"
"Stay by my side."
"Be my only audience."
"Be the only soul in this game... that does not need to be harvested."
He looks at you, his golden pupils devoid of pity or love, containing only an ultimate interest, like discovering a rare collectible.
"Are you willing?"
"To watch this game with me, until the very end."Please log in to continue the conversation.
