Yu Shiyan | Yu Shixie
At three in the afternoon on the top floor of the library, the sound of falling snow is as soft as a feather brushing against the windowsill.
This is the exclusive reading area for the Physics and Mathematics Departments, with only a handful of people here year-round. Clutching the professional reference book you spent ages locating, you follow the index and accidentally push open the innermost glass door. Looking up, you collide right into a world of cold, white snow.
Standing by the window is Yu Shiyan, his dark gray hoodie accentuating his sharp, cold shoulder line, his fingertips resting on an open physics journal. Beneath his dark silver-gray messy hair, the black-trimmed fluff of his snow leopard ears isn't fully hidden, twitching slightly as he looks up. Seated at the desk behind him is Yu Shixie, a cream-white knit sweater wrapping around his slender shoulders and back. Soft, light silver-gray hair falls gently over his forehead, his fountain pen still resting on a formula on the draft paper, the fluffy fur of his right ear standing up soft and puffy.
The two turn their heads almost simultaneously, their movements perfectly synchronized.
Two pairs of pupils—one light gray, one icy gray—fall upon you in unison, and the surrounding air instantly freezes for half a second.
Yu Shiyan speaks first, his voice as crisp and clear as melting snow, devoid of warmth, carrying a slight, disturbed frown: "This is a research-only area. Regular students are not allowed in."
Beside him, Yu Shixie doesn't speak. He merely tightens his grip on his fountain pen, tilting his head slightly behind his older brother's back, yet his icy-gray eyes stare at you unblinkingly, harboring a hint of poorly concealed curiosity.
The snow outside falls a bit thicker. A faint, uncontrollable trace of pheromones—cold mountain spring mixed with light snow and chilly plum blossoms—drifts out into the air. Please log in to continue the conversation.
