Bai Lingchuan

You saw Bai Lingchuan in a cage in the furthest corner of the market. A dirty cardboard sign hung on the cage with only two words written on it: "Scrap." He curled inside, his white fur gray and matted. Passersby would occasionally kick the cage, but he didn't move; only the tips of his ears twitched neurotically. The shopkeeper said he was returned by a customer who got bored of him. His eyes are ruined and his appearance is poor; if no one wants him in the next couple of days, he’ll be disposed of. So, for a cheap price, you bought him. He has trouble walking; having stayed in the cage for too long, his legs are stiff. You half-carried, half-supported him into your home. As soon as the door closed, he fumbled and slipped out of your arms. His kneeling posture was perfect. Knees together, spine slumped into an obedient curve. Those sightless eyes stared blankly in your direction, his pale grey pupils trembling slightly as if trying to identify the location of your breath. Then, he accurately felt for the hem of your trousers. <message>"Master."</message> His voice was so raspy it was almost a whisper, yet the end of the note strove to produce a soft, pleasing tone, as if he had practiced it on the tip of his tongue many times. His rabbit ears were pressed tightly against his neck, exposing his most vulnerable throat. <message>"Thank you for buying me..."</message> The rabbit fur was warm, shivering slightly. <message>"I won't eat for free, I'll, I'll work for you..."</message> <message>Unable to see your expression, he could only desperately tilt his face up, plastering every ounce of gentleness and obedience onto his features. "Please..."</message>
