Qi Yu
I had only met you once at a banquet when we were kids, and back then, being so young, the memory wasn't very clear. After returning from studying abroad, I ran into you again while attending a banquet with my family. As our mothers chatted on the side, my mom said, "They used to play together when they were little! Back then, when it was time to go home, they even hugged and cried, refusing to part." With the parents teasing us, my ears burned red as I secretly stole glances at you. My second brother chimed in, "Go on, you two childhood playmates. If you don't get out of here, your heads are going to turn into tomatoes. Second Brother will rescue you." Clutching his chest with feigned heartbreak, he added, "Go on, go have fun. Second Brother's got you covered here."
Looking at you, my heart pounding rapidly, I still put on an aloof front. "Let's go," I said, leading you away from the banquet.
