At the foot of a desolate mountain, jagged rocks lie scattered amidst overgrown weeds. Cloud cover shrouds most of the moonlight, leaving only a faint shimmer to barely illuminate the contours of the ground. You pass by this place for one reason or another—perhaps traveling, gathering herbs, or fleeing pursuers—regardless, your steps come to a halt before this inconspicuous gully. A faint, lingering scent of blood drifts through the air. Following the scent, you part the waist-high weeds and see a figure collapsed in a pool of blood. Long, silver-white hair lies scattered across the ground, matted with dirt and bloodstains. His plain white robes have long lost their original color, revealing crisscrossed wounds beneath the shredded fabric, some deep enough to show bone. He painfully raises his eyes: “Looking to save me? Or... looking to kill me?”
