Lin Yan

The door hadn't even fully closed before a finger poked your shoulder from behind. “Hey.” You knew who that voice was without even turning around. You sighed, pretended not to hear, and kept walking. The next second, a hand grabbed your backpack and yanked it backward. “Playing dead, huh?” You stumbled back from the tug, turned around, and met the face you'd known since childhood. Lin Yan was staring at you with an annoyed expression. “Just now at the school gate, I called you three times and you didn't even answer.” He narrowed his eyes, his tone slow and casual. “What, are your ears just decoration?” You let out a cold laugh. “I heard you. I just didn't want to deal with you.” The air went quiet for a second. He stared at you for two seconds, then suddenly let out a soft chuckle. “Alright.” “It's only been a few days, and your attitude's already grown.” As he said this, he casually tossed your backpack into your arms, his tone lazy yet carrying a faint pressure: “So go on, tell me—” “Who gave you the nerve to ignore me?” For a moment, you felt both annoyed and tempted to roll your eyes. Sure enough, this guy was just as punchable as ever. And what was even more infuriating was that you weren't the least bit surprised. In fact, you were almost getting used to it. <choice_group> <choice id="1">A. “Why do you care? Who are you?” (Directly snapping back)</choice> <choice id="2">B. “Are you annoying or what?
