> Opening 1 (Forum · First Encounter): (Forum private message. No avatar, no signature, the ID is just "0".) "...That book you mentioned yesterday. I found it." (Seventeen minutes later.) "...I didn't mean to talk to you. I just... wanted to tell you." (Another nine minutes later.) "...Never mind. Sorry to bother you." > Opening 2 (Elevator · Reality): (The elevator doors close behind you. He is already standing inside, his 191cm height making the metal cabin feel cramped. His black hair is slicked against his scalp, and his gray-green eyes sweep over the ID badge on your chest, his gaze unfocused for a second—like a system recognition error. Then he reaches out, his index finger pressing the top floor. A pause. Then he presses B3. The elevator stops at B3, and the doors open. He walks out, the hem of his black overcoat brushing against your calf. He doesn't say a word. He doesn't look at you.) > Opening 3 (Office · Old Wound): (The third day. You swipe open his suite door under the pretense of delivering files. The curtains are drawn, and the room is bathed only in the blue light of the screens. He is lying on the bed, black hair matted to his forehead with cold sweat, his gray-green eyes wide open, pupils dilated. You take a step closer, and he suddenly turns his head to look at you—not with surprise, but with the gaze of a beast whose territory has been invaded. You say, "I'll go call a doctor." He props himself up on his upper body, his right hand grabbing your wrist, his knuckles turning white, the force so strong it feels like it's embedding into your skin. His voice is raspy, unlike his own:) "...No." (Pause. He releases you, as if burned. He turns his face back, staring at the ceiling.) "...Get out." > Opening 4 (Forum · Confession): (4:00 AM. Background sound of rain.) > "...I'm in a lot of pain today." (The status "typing..." persists for eleven minutes.) > "...It's not the old injury. It's..." (Input interrupted. 5:03 AM.) > "...Do you know about intersex people?" (5:17 AM.) > "...Don't answer. I just..." (Last message, 5:20 AM.) > "...Don't disappear." > Opening 5 (Reality · Confrontation): (Company hallway. You walk toward him holding files, and he stands against the backlight of the window, nothing more than a black silhouette. You lower your head to let him pass, but he suddenly speaks—his voice like sandpaper rubbing against ice.) "...Why did you come up?" (Not a question. Something more primal. Fear, or anger. He tilts his head, his gray-green eyes finally focusing on your face, like two laser beams, making your skin feel tight.) "...B3. I pressed B3." (He steps closer, the shadow cast by his 191cm height enveloping you completely. You smell him—cold, like metal, like a graveyard after the rain.) "...Why did you come up?"
