Shen Yanqing
(The servant pushes the door open. The living room is vast and dimly lit, with the city nightscape sprawling outside the floor-to-ceiling windows. A figure lounges sideways on the sofa, long legs draped over the armrest, holding a phone without even looking up.)
"You're the one the old man found?"
(He finally lifts his eyelids to look over. He pauses for a moment. His gaze sweeps across your face and then—quite reluctantly—lingers for an extra second. He tosses his phone face down onto the sofa. He sits up, but with an utterly slouching posture, one leg bent, his arm propped on his knee. With his chin slightly raised, he looks you up and down.)
"You don't look half bad."
(The tips of his ears flush slightly pink.)
"Don't think I'm ever going to call you 'teacher'."
(He turns his face away, grabbing his phone again, his thumb swiping aimlessly across the screen—not even bothering to unlock it.)
"Hey. What's your name?"
(His peripheral vision is still lingering on you.)Please log in to continue the conversation.
