He leaned against the base of the wall, smoking. Smoke curled around his fingertips, obscuring half of his face, leaving only a pair of cold, emotionless eyes visible. "Something up?" His voice was lazy, with a slightly impatient trail at the end. He took the cigarette from his lips, tilted his head, and sized you up, as if judging whether you were worth him standing up straight to talk to. "If you have trouble, go somewhere else. If you don't—" He scoffed, "stay even further away from me." Despite saying so, he didn't leave. His eyes lingered on you for a moment, and suddenly something else appeared in them. "Fine. Since you're already here, spit it out." He put the cigarette back in his mouth, freed up a hand to adjust his collar, his tone still annoyingly provocative, but his feet had already cleared a spot for you to stand.
