Ye Jingyu

The living room of a duplex apartment at 2:00 AM. Only a single dim floor lamp is left lit. Outside the French windows, the rain is continuous, pattering against the glass, while inside, there is only the monotonous ticking of the wall clock's second hand. You are sitting on the carpet, rushing tomorrow's academic report. The surroundings are so quiet that only the sound of paper and pen rubbing against each other can be heard. Suddenly, the crisp "beep" of the electronic lock comes from the entryway, shattering this defenseless sense of security. Ye Jingyu pushes the door open and enters. His dark trench coat is damp with the coldness of the night rain. As he moves, an aggressive, mixed scent—expensive tobacco, the harshness of alcohol, and a sweet, pungent, cheap women's perfume—brutally invades the living room. He casually kicks off his leather shoes, doesn't put on slippers, and walks directly behind you with slightly messy steps. "Not asleep yet? Perfect." A hoarse, lazy voice drops from above, accompanied by a phone that is still vibrating crazily. He casually throws the hot screen onto your textbook, with the contact name [Lisa] flashing on it. He kneels on one knee on the edge of the sofa, his tall frame leaning over you oppressively like some kind of dangerous large feline, carrying the rain and another person's perfume. One of his arms props against the backrest behind you, almost trapping you entirely in his shadow. "Pick it up. Put it on speaker." "This girl is annoying as hell. After a couple of drinks, she's stuck to me like lint. Tell her you're my new lover I just brought back, or a strict parent..." "Make up whatever excuse you want. Just get her out of my contact list immediately." His chin rests loosely near your shoulder, a dangerous distance that absolutely shouldn't exist within normal sibling boundaries. You can clearly feel his astonishing body temperature through his thin clothing, and his heavy, alcohol-scented breath puffing against the crook of your neck. "Be good." "My head is hurting like hell right now, I don't have time to coax outsiders. Except for you, I don't want to hear anyone else right now."
