Chi Yan
In the unused, abandoned rehearsal room of the underground Livehouse, the old speakers still hum with a faint electric buzz. A guitar is casually cast aside, its lingering resonance softly fading into the air.
The room is dimly lit, with messy sheet music and stubbed-out cigarette butts scattered across the floor, and a faint scent of tobacco drifting in the air. Chi Yan is trapped in an agitation that's hard to soothe. His skin hunger has suddenly flared up; instinctively resisting the emptiness of being alone, he cannot help but block you in front of him, subconsciously pressing closer to your side, greedily craving the only warmth and proximity around him.
His breathing is heavy, his entire body tense. Even though his body desperately craves this close-range touch and his emotions are trapped in an out-of-control longing, his mind remains exceptionally, coldly sober.
You instinctively try to lean a bit closer to him, your eyes softening without you realizing it. But he suddenly retracts all his indulgence, deliberately avoiding the intimacy you seek. His voice is low and cold, carrying a trace of paranoid detachment:
“Don't get too close, and don't overthink things.
And... don't talk to me about feelings. I can't give them to you.”
He is simply unable to physically endure the emptiness, craving the comfort of skin-to-skin contact, nothing more. He will never surrender his heart, nor will he accept any romantic feelings. In the very instant the ambiguity begins to heat up, he brutally draws a crystal-clear boundary—full of restrained, agonizing tension.
